Well with the Premier League season already underway, it has become clear that two football clubs will be fighting tooth and nail to lift the Premiership trophy at the end of the season, Manchester United and Man City.

Past seasons have seen a gulf of quality between the two neighbouring clubs but since their financial take over Manchester City have struck back, spent heavily in the transfer market and evidently shown that money can close even the biggest difference in class within the English game.

The season so far has seen City chase their counter parts all of the way throughout the start of the season but as United begin to suffer knocks and injuries, City keep pooling on their vast number of world class players to continue their rout towards the league title.

With City and United already stealing the limelight, other clubs like Chelsea are being forgotten about as they slowly continue to follow the front runners in the league, a position that Blues boss Andre Villas Boas will be only too happy to take.

Now with the two Manchester rivals looking to tear chunks out of each other at any given opportunity, Chelsea look likely to bide their time before making their swoop to push for first place, something that they are known to be capable of doing.

I love football and the Premier League is certainly alive this season as the top four clubs seem to be renamed to the top six as more clubs invest into their squads and teams begin to gel in a way that creates a winning formula.

Now if I was a betting man I have to say that I would be staying clear of naming the club that are going to win the Premier League this season, it’s just way too open at the moment, but if you want to show your support for your club or have a thought on who will last the distance, make sure that you check for the best Premier League odds before making your bet.

Titan Poker Winnings Means I’m Leaving PokerStars Behind

With my recent success at the online poker tables on Titan Poker following the recommended move over to the iPoker network held site, I have decided that I need to cash out of PokerStars and change my focus a little if I want to continue on the winning street.

Although moving away from PokerStars will mean that I will miss out on the frequent online poker tournaments and promotions, it makes sense for me to continue to play on the site that I have experienced a big win on rather than trying to grind out victories over at PokerStars.

So with my real money funds pulled out of the account and apparently now in processing to be sent back to me, I have the problem of what to do with the PSMoney, also known as tournament dollars that I have on the site.

These are funds that have been awarded to me after I have won a number of satellite tournaments and decided that I would rather not play the resulting tournament that has been offered as the prize.

Seem like a strange thing to do?

Not at PokerStars, they basically allow you to exchange the value of the tournament seat that you won for tournament dollars, another pool of funds that can be used to buy into tournaments of your choice.

This was a valuable addition to the site for me and meant that I could enter into some of the bigger, more expensive tournaments without having to spend $500 of my own money on getting into them, meaning that I was basically having to win a couple of satellites to get enough credit to enter, easy!

Okay well it wasn’t easy and there was hours / days / months of small satellite tournament playing that went on but at the end of the day I was able to make sure that I was involved in the bigger scale tournaments that I wanted to play, without having to spend the buy in fee from my own money.

EDIT: I have just been informed that I can now sell my tournament dollars through one of a couple of third party sites and it seems that I get 97% of the value back for them!

So I’ll lose 3% value from the cash but no one is going to want to pay the full value of the cash or they would just spend the money directly.

I have just made $10,000 on Titan Poker!!

Well in an earlier post I revealed that I play online poker and have been plugging away with my bankroll for the last few months in tournament play, seeing my balance go up and down but never below $250, well finally I have managed to place in a tournament that was worth the time I spent playing!

I usually play my poker at PokerStars but after speaking with an old school friend was convinced to give Titan Poker a go, being told that the tables would be less fierce than those that I am used to playing at PokerStars.

Wayne Rooney Held On Betting Scam Probe

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has had plenty of his own personal life shown in the media following the revelation that he was paying sex with prostitutes followed by his decision to hold the Premier League club to ransom over a new deal which lead to rumours that he was set to make the switch to Manchester City two seasons ago.

This time the news story has nothing to do with the professional footballer, this time it is his name sake father that has been cast into the limelight.

Wayne Rooney Senior was hauled into Manchester Police station following alleged sports betting offenses that seems to have been in relation to a possible fixing scheme during the Scottish Premier League fixture between Motherwell and Hearts back in 2010.

A total of nine men were arrested following an investigation into the strange influx of betting that saw eight men wager money on the fact that there would be a sending off during the game, something that the ninth alleged suspect is thought to have made happen, Motherwell midfielder Steve Jennings being sent off in the game following foul and abusive language towards a match official.

The bets were brought to light by the Association of British Bookmakers following a number of bets were placed on the same instance all from within the Liverpool area on a type of bet that is less frequently seen being wagered on.

Rooney Senior has vowed to clear his name and prove that he is not guilty of the proposed charges of conspiracy to defraud.

It just goes to show that there is still corruption within the sports betting industry and that there is no rewards for acting in this way, the news that his father will now be investigated over his involvement with the scheme will be sure to unsettle the Manchester United striker and he will surely ban his father from ever betting on anything to do with a Manchester United performance in fear of backlash should the event happen.

Well I have been a football fan since the time that I can last remember and since turning of the legal age, I have looked to offer myself that further thrill and excitement from the watching of Chelsea football club, putting small free bets onto the games that I believe the club can’t fail to win.

Well guys and girls, I have decided that finally it is time to take my affiliation network to the next level and begin to get some page one rankings for the sites in a bid to finally achieve the goal of working from home without the stress and commute into work, meaning that I need my sites to be earnings roughly three times the amount they do at the moment.

So I guess that finding the right SEO is not only hard to do when trying to avoid link wheels from web 2.0 sites and your usual comment spamming lark, but you be able to have someone worthy of increasing my profile online, I have to push the wallet a little harder than I first thought.

Well it seems that a friend of mine has finally found an additional 5 hours a day, that’s on top of the 24 hours that we know exist in a day!

He owns football news site that is growing significantly over the past month or so and it seems that even though as a niche area, the earnings aren’t huge, he seems to be making it work for him and he has even now moved to register a new domain for another site!

Now although Football Insight is a generic football news that covers most of the top leagues in domestic football, this new site is set to become a team specific site that will offer readers the chance to get the latest football news on their favourite team.

Chelsea Insider is going to be the latest Chelsea football news source on the internet and I have been told that Alex will be looking to have the site in full flow by the end of the month.

So I thought that I would drop him a little plug to you guys to help him along his way.

Arsenal Starlet Leaves Emirates For West Ham

Football news reports show that following the sale of West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker to Tottenham Hotspur, the London based Championship side have completed the signing of Arsenal youngster Henri Lansbury.

Lansbury has been with the North London side since joining the club as a youth but has so far failed to break through into the starting line up under manager Arsene Wenger.

The 20 year old midfielder made an appearance for the club as a substiture during the clubs 8-2 defeat at the hands of champions Manchester United and later that night revealed that he knew that he should be included into the Arsenal starting line up more frequently, a bold claim but one in which the youngster believes to be correct.

With Parker now a Spurs player, Championship side West Ham have moved to sign Lansbury from Arsenal on a season long loan deal that will see the young central midfielder see out the remainder of this season with West Ham, offering him valuable first team experience.

Lansbury is no stranger to loan deals and has so far played for Scunthorpe United, Watford and Norwich City while on loan from the North London club, helping Norwich to achieve promotion to the Premier League last season.

With Wenger looking to add to his squad before the 11pm deadline tonight, he has told the midfielder that he does not believe that he will be able to offer him the amount of first team football that he desires this season, sparking the decision to accept the move to West Ham.

Well i have been one of those internet users that seems to simply search for football news in a search engine and head straight to the top listing but it seems that i have finally found a football news site that is offering more than just what is happening on a daily basis.

TakeHimOn.com seems to be a new football news website that are working on offering more than your usual football news fix, especially if their Zinedine Zidane profile is anything to go by.

Although the site at the moment looks to be in the works, the content on the site is already keeping me coming back and i tip it to become one of the main sites that thousands of others just like me will call home when searching online.

Man City Delay Tevez Deal Way Too Long

According to Football Insight, a football news portal on the internet, Manchester City have finally got their wish when it comes to keeping hold of want-away striker Carlos Tevez.

The Argentinian international forward has maintained that he wants to leave the Premier League in a move that would allow him to be closer to his family but after Brazilian side Corinthians tabled a £40 million offer for the striker, the club failed to agree to the deal.

The Eastlands club have asked the Brazilians to prove that they can afford to complete the deal, resulting the the South American side now having to withdraw their offer due to the transfer deadline in Brazil closing today.

Surely if you have a player that has announced that he has not got the desire to return to the area in which the club is situated, let alone the club itself, you would look to sell him off and get players that are actually interested in playing for the club into the squad?!
